Ed Newman from the Buckley and Co team gained a degree this week after much hard work and study
Real Property Limited takes pride as an “Investor in People” to give all an equal opportunity for long-time career development, investment and job satisfaction.
“I decided to undertake my degree in Real Estate Management as it is an essential step in becoming a Chartered Surveyor. Without completing an RICS accredited degree you need 10 years industry experience before you can be put forward for your APC (Assessment of professional competence) which is the last step before becoming qualified. I gained my degree through the University College of Estate Management through a mix of online learning, coursework and exams which can be taken at Highlands. It took just over four years to complete part time at undergraduate level resulting in me achieving upper second class honours or / 2:1.
I am now preparing for my APC which I hope to complete next year after which I will then be a fully qualified Chartered Surveyor and be able to put MRICS also after my name. It will be the end of a long journey and I will feel a great sense of accomplishment once it’s all done”
